My domain pagerank… please help :) *10 points*?

Posted in PageRank by admin on the July 8th, 2010

Hello i’ve just checked my domain on a value site and it says it’s worth $1095, then again that site is automated so I don’t beleive it. When I scroll down it says I have 1057 backlinks, what pagerank would you expect my domain to be with 1057 backlinks? I’ve got a SEO score of about 80% I cannot remember at this time. The site is about 200 days old now.

Well here’s the answer, my pagerank is 0.. What would you expect it to be from 200 days old, 1057 backlinks and about 80% SEO score, the domain is http://www.TheTechForum.net I havn’t gotten very good at key words so it’s not easy to find on google :(

Would anyone be able to provide me a free way on getting my keywords higher on google, getting some pagerank as I realy don’t like 0 and telling me if you think the 1,000 backlinks is real :)

Thanks, 10 points for the best answer.. Also if you would like to help my website please register on it :) Thanks soo much.

Domains do not have PageRank. Pages have PageRank. The PageRank for your homepage is 0. If you really have that many links, I have to wonder if the links are new, or just junky.

In any case, you’re worrying way too much about rankings. PageRank is only important if you are trying to sell your domain or links from your site.

You need to focus more on rankings. Or rather, rankings on keywords that matter. If you achieve rankings on keywords that have no traffic, or that generate traffic that doesn’t do anything for you, you are wasting your time.

You need links from trusted, quality sources that preferably have your keywords in their anchor text. And use the keywords on your pages. Use them naturally, but use them.

And go to SEO Book (linked below), it has great beginners info on SEO.

Google and Yahoo takes the concept of backlinks differently and what automated tools shows you the number of backlinks is normally the some of backlinks from many SEs.

Further, PageRank is related to Google alone and your site has 0 backlinks according to Google that’s why your PR value is 0.

Try this backlink checker tool : http://www.webtoolhub.com/tn561345-backlink-checker.aspx

To increase you PR value you need dofollow backlinks from quality and relevant sites.

These days, page rank is really an indicator of how often the bots crawl your site. Pay more attention to the links.

Take a look at how many and what links the top sites are using to get listed on the first page. A great tool to use for this is Market Samurai. The software will tell you what links they use and you can use the same ones.
It’s not free but it could be the best $50 you ever spent.
